Berry Street is a high density, below-market rate housing project with garden courtyards on the second floor. CLA is designing the two courtyards for private residential use as places of rest and recreation, and as a culmination of progression of spaces from the street and through building lobbies. At 335 Berry Street, series of planted terraces with a switchback staircase lead to the Mission Creek esplanade and make a visual connection between public and private spaces. Sustainable building strategies are being incorporated into the design and construction to achieve LEED certification.
